This pretty chest of drawers elevated on scroll legs, dates from the 1940s. The paint finish is gray and charcoal with fabric lining inside. There is a pretty stylized scallop shell motif in the middle under the drawers. The charcoal top is textured. It is known as a sauteuse commode as it appears to be jumping on legs.
