For your consideration we are offering for sale this Beautifully Restored 1944 Parker Azure Pearl Celluloid Fountain Pen in the Major Size. This fountain pen has been thoroughly taken apart, cleaned and put back together and now is in wonderful writing condition. This Parker is in Near Mint condition with Water Clear Barrel transparency.

I have ultrasonically cleaned the NIB, feed, section, breather tube, cap and barrel. Replaced the old diaphragm with a new, properly sized one. Hand polished the Gold Filled Blue Diamond Clip, Gold Filled Chevron Cap Band and 14K NIB. Cleaned, Buffed, Polished and Waxed the barrel, cap and blind cap to bring back the vibrancy and to protect the material of fountain pen. This Parker Vacumatic is a major size that measures 5 1/8" in length capped and 6" posted.

This fountain pen cap and barrel are in magnificent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs with the cap always securing tightly to the barrel. The cap has the split arrow gold filled blue diamond clip and the chevron cap band with cartouche; each area displays a rich gold filled color with no brassing. The top jewel is black and has been polished to bring back a gorgeous shine. The barrel is clearly and crisply stamped with, "Geo. S. Parker Vacumatic Made in U.S.A. with date code 4 in the fourth quarter". The transparency of the barrel marvelous - it is water clear with no ambering. The blind cap securely fits. There is a personalization to the barrel that reads, "GIN ROMAN".

The Vacumatic Filling System works great, typically in my tests with water about 7-8 presses to fill full. I have greased the filling unit so it operates smoothly and now operates flawlessly.

The Parker NIB is a 14K gold split arrow NIB. The actual writing portion of the 14K Parker NIB has a fine point measuring roughly .53mm when measured with digital calipers. When writing a sample, this NIB writes with an extra fine to broad stroke. The writing sample provided, the extra fine line measures at .38mm with digital calipers under normal pressure and the broad stroke measures 1.07mm when measured with digital calipers under medium to firm pressure. The sample was done with the actual pen in the images that is listed for sale. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Parker Quink Blue-Black Ink.

Any specks of white in the images are from the cotton that I used to clean the barrel and cap.

This is a Vintage Parker Vacumatic Fountain Pen displays a vibrant Azure / Blue Pearl color and the barrel transparency is one of the best I seen. I grade this Parker in Near Mint Condition. This Vacumatic is in ready to write condition or just add to writing arsenal collection.
