For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Restored 1944 Parker Azure Blue Pearl Celluloid Fountain Pen in the Major Size. This fountain pen has been thoroughly taken apart, cleaned and put back together and now is in wonderful writing condition. This Parler Vac has a full double imprint on the barrel that was a factory error - these are scarce collector variants today.

I have ultrasonically cleaned the NIB, feed, section, breather tube, and barrel. Replaced the old diaphragm with a new, properly sized one. Hand polished the Gold Filled Blue Diamond Clip, Chevron Cap Band, and 14K Parker NIB. Additionally, I cleaned, buffed, polished and waxed the barrel, cap, and blind cap to bring back the vibrancy and to protect the celluloid of the fountain pen.

This fountain pen cap and barrel are in magnificent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs with the cap always securing tightly to the barrel. This cap displays the Split Arrow Gold Filled Blue Diamond Clip and Chevron Cap Banding, which display no brassing. The top jewel is black and been polished to bring back a beautiful shine. Here is the unique part of this fountain pen - The barrel is clearly stamped in two separate areas (as seen in the photos) with, "GEO. S. PARKER PARKER VACUMATIC MADE IN U.S.A. with date code 4 (for 1944) in the 2nd Quarter". The transparency of the barrel is excellent and a person can easily see through the barrel, albeit with minor ambering. The blind cap securely fits. The Vacumatic Plastic Filling System works great, typically in my tests with water about 6-9 presses to fill full. This Parker Vacumatic is a major size, which measures 5 1/8" in length capped and 6 1/8" posted.

The Parker NIB is a 14K gold Split Arrow NIB. The actual writing portion/tip of this 14K Parker NIB has a fine point measuring roughly .54mm when measured with digital calipers. When creating the writing sample, this Parker NIB writes with an extra fine to broad stroke. The writing sample provided in the listing image the fine line measures at .44mm with light pressure and the broad line measured at .92mm will medium to firm pressure when measured with digital calipers. The sample was done with the actual pen in the images that are listed for sale. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Parker Quink Blue Ink.

Any specks of white in the images are from the cotton that I used to clean the barrel and cap.

This is a fantastic vintage Parker Vacumatic Fountain Pen in the Azure Pearl Celluloid that is in Excellent Condition. The "factory error" imprint feature on the barrel makes this Vacumatic is unique collector variant for the Parker Vac collector that you won't find every day. This Parker is ready to write or add to your writing arsenal collection.
