3 x 100g (3 x 3.53 oz) – 4 ply (fingering/sports weight) … lustrous and beautifully soft, 50% Home Farm Wensleydale blended with 50% fabulous Luxury Kid Mohair.  This is a luxurious blend of two amazing fibres - the natural colour is stunning, the photo does not do this wool justice.  Spun to 2/8.8 Nm (in accordance with BS984)

Mohair comes from an Angora Goat.  Don't get that confused with 'Angora' which comes from the Angora Rabbit.  Believe it or not, there is no relation between the two animals and despite the similar name, Mohair and Angora fibre are very different.  

We have chosen to blend our Wensleydale with Mohair as we believe that kid goat Mohair is one of the finest natural fibres with a rich history.  High welfare Mohair is expensive and in rare supply.  Our own unique blend is very lustrous and incredibly resilient, even for how lightweight it feels.   Its quite difficult to capture the lustre of this fibre by photograph - I would say that the first photo closeup is the best match.  

Our luxury yarn boasts fantastic stitch definition and drape.  This yarn is super silky, smooth, soft and very lustrous.  Wensleydale and Mohair are versatile fibres and will knit to a standard tension.  Ideal for any knitting or crochet pattern.  Please see our table below for further information.
