The UNO R3 board is the most popular board in the Arduino family. Due to the popularity, small footprint and community resources available around UNO boards makes it an ideal choice for the beginner to learn electronics and coding.
The Arduino UNO R3 is the most robust board, you can start playing with. It is based on Atmel ATmega328P chip.
The design has 14 digital input/output pins that include 6 as PWM outputs, 6 analog inputs and a 16 MHz crystal. The development board includes a USB connector for programming and power as well a power jack, an ICSP header and a reset button.
"Uno" means one in Italian and was chosen to mark the release of Arduino Software (IDE) version 1.0.
