Our Bold Coast Silk Noil is made from 100% silk and features a delightfully slubby texture and gorgeous drape.

"Noil" refers to short silk fibers that are spun and then woven to create a highly wearable matte silk fabric that's quite different from more widely known lustrous silk fabrics that are woven from long silk fibers. We love Silk Noil for the understated and refined style it offers. Silk Noil makes lovely tops, dresses, skirts, and pants.

Silk Noil is interchangeably referred to as Raw Silk, though the use of the word "raw" refers to the rustic, slubby texture not the processing the silk fibers have gone through. The silk fibers that are woven to create this breathable, durable, easy-to-sew with fabric have been boiled and washed prior to weaving.
