The Crop Dining Armchair by Fasem was designed by the Welsh designer Ross Lovegrove in 1996. The Crop is characterized by the curvature of the shell and the careful upholstery with Fasem's full-grain hide leather.
Born in Cardiff (Wales) in 1958, Ross Lovegrove graduated in Industrial Design from Manchester Polytechnic. Subsequently, he obtained a Master of Design at the Royal College of Art in London. In the 1980s, Lovegrove collaborated on projects such as the Sony Walkman and Apple, and designed the Alexandri Office System for Knoll. In the following years, he joined the Atelier de Nîmes with Jean Nouvel and Phillipe Stark, where he worked as a consultant for Cacharel, Louis Vuitton, Hermes, and DuPont. Winners of numerous international awards, his works are exhibited in prestigious museums such as the MOMA and the Guggenheim Museum in New York, the Axis Center Japan, the Pompidou Center in Paris, and the Design Museum in London where some of his works are part of the permanent collections.
