Santa Rosa Shawl Crochet Pattern
I've always loved large crocheted shawls. When you're wrapped up in one, it feels like a special hug. The other advantage of large crocheted shawls is the versatility when it comes to wearing them. A while ago I saw a woman wearing a large crocheted shawl draped over one shoulder and fastened at the hip. It looked so elegant. This gave me the idea for making a large multi-purpose crocheted shawl. When it came to choosing which crochet stitch to use, I decided that an easy crochet shell stitch would look great. Once I had made the crocheted shawl, I knew it needed a border and so I came up with a simple crochet fan border to finish it off.
This crocheted shawl is sure to become a favorite… to wrap around your shoulders, knot in the front, drape over hips, fold into a scarf, pin ends on shoulder, etc. You can also make it any size you choose, by following the pattern rows.
